This allows the shaft to remain clear and assists during decontamination and sterilization, ultimately preserving the life of the instrument. DDP Elite USA Micro Kerrison Ejector Rongeur is ideally suited for use in neurosurgical type procedures of the spine. It is specifically crafted to navigate the tight spaces between the vertebrae and the spinal cord in laminectomies where the laminae of one vertebrae or a segment of vertebrae are removed. This can be done to alleviate pressure in a specific area or to give increased access to a particular area for surgical intervention. This rongeur is 40 degrees up and is available in 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 and 6.0 mm bites.
