A 10 3/4" renal artery clamp used to occlude the renal artery or renal pedicle during kidney surgery, such as nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy and renal vascular procedures. The long shanks let the surgeon place the clamp deep in the retroperitoneum while keeping the hands clear of the field.
Renal artery clamps are designed to stop arterial flow temporarily with a secure ratcheted closure, so the clamp can be left in place while the kidney is worked on and released once flow is to be restored.
