Stainless or Carbon/PEEK Blades?

Carbon fibre and PEEK blades are radiolucent, so they do not block intraoperative X-ray views of the spine, and they are lighter. Stainless steel blades are stronger and cost less. Many spine teams use radiolucent blades where imaging is needed.
