This is an arthroscopic suture-piercing forceps with a straight 3.5mm shaft, 15cm long, with a pointed, tapered tip. It is supplied brand new.
The pointed jaws pierce soft tissue and grasp the suture on the far side, so the surgeon can pass suture through a tendon, labrum or capsule during arthroscopic repair. The straight shaft is used when the target tissue lies directly ahead of the portal.
