This is a genuine, brand-new Richards 70230912 sinuscope, 4mm diameter with a 70° direction of view, autoclavable and manufactured in Germany. It is the upgraded, latest version of the 23-0852.
The steep 70° view lets the surgeon look around corners into the frontal recess, the maxillary sinus and the floor of the sinus, areas a 0° or 30° scope cannot show. It is used for frontal sinus work and to check the inside of the maxillary sinus after an antrostomy.
