Thumb tissue forceps with 1x2 teeth, in surgical stainless steel. These are standard straight tissue forceps held like a pencil, with a single tooth on one tip that meshes between two teeth on the other for a firm, non-slip grip on skin, fascia and other tough tissue.
They are used throughout general surgery for holding tissue during dissection and for grasping the wound edge while suturing. The teeth let the surgeon hold tissue securely with light pressure, which reduces crushing compared with smooth forceps squeezed hard.
