Adson dressing forceps in surgical stainless steel. Dressing forceps have serrated tips with no teeth, so they hold gauze, dressings, sutures and delicate tissue without puncturing it. The Adson shape narrows from a broad thumb grip to a fine tip for precise handling.
They are used for packing and removing dressings, handling sutures during closure and removal, and holding thin tissue that toothed forceps could damage, in general surgery, dermatology, oral surgery and wound care. Stain-resistant finish; autoclavable.
About this instrument
Tissue and dressing forceps (thumb forceps) hold tissue during dissection and suturing. Toothed tips grip firmly; smooth or serrated tips are gentler on delicate tissue.
