Paton corneal dissector, 12 cm overall length. A fine, flat-bladed ophthalmic instrument used to separate the layers of the cornea in lamellar dissection, and in corneal transplant surgery to free and lift donor or host tissue.
The thin blade slides between corneal layers with little resistance, so tissue planes can be opened cleanly under the operating microscope. German surgical-steel construction.
About this instrument
Ophthalmic microsurgical instruments are used under the operating microscope in cataract, corneal, glaucoma, eyelid and lacrimal surgery. Fine tips and lightweight handles give precise control.
