This listing covers the genuine, brand-new Acufex 90° basket punches with a cigar handle: the 010901 and the 010906, in right and left angles.
A basket punch bites tissue and lets the fragment fall away, so the surgeon can trim a torn meniscus without pulling out the instrument after every bite. The 90° angled jaw cuts to the side, reaching the inner rim and horns of the meniscus. The cigar handle sits in the palm for rotational control.
About this instrument
Arthroscopic punches trim and remove soft tissue, such as torn meniscus, through a portal during joint surgery.
