The Koch II Nucleus Spatula is a specialized ophthalmic microsurgical instrument designed for use in cataract surgery - in particular during the phacoemulsification phase for manipulation of the lens nucleus. The "duck-bill" shaped, softly curved tip with notches is engineered to provide effective engagement, rotation, or cracking of the nucleus within the anterior chamber.
