The Arthro Hook Punch Set Down is a brand-new arthroscopic hook basket punch with a scoop, made with a downward-set jaw for reaching tissue below the line of the shaft inside the joint.
The hooked basket jaw lets the surgeon get behind and under a meniscal tear or tissue edge and bite it free, while the scoop helps hold the cut fragment so it can be removed rather than left floating in the joint. The set-down orientation is chosen when the target sits below the portal approach, such as along the floor of a meniscal horn.
