Hibbs osteotome, straight, 24 cm long with a 32 mm wide blade. Hibbs osteotomes are long, heavy, bevelled-on-both-sides blades driven with a mallet, traditionally used in spine surgery for decorticating and cutting bone, and in general orthopedic work where a wide, straight cut is needed.
The 32 mm width removes broad, even strips of bone, while the 24 cm length gives reach into deep exposures. Hibbs osteotomes come in a range of widths so surgeons can pick the blade to suit the bone surface. German surgical-steel construction.
