Why the Hole Pattern Matters

In liposuction the holes near the tip decide how fat is drawn in. A single central hole is the most controlled and is used for delicate or finishing work. Multiple lateral holes pull from a wider area and remove volume faster. Small-diameter, many-holed infiltration cannulas spread tumescent fluid evenly before aspiration starts.

So surgeons usually work with a range: infiltration first, then larger multi-hole cannulas for debulking, then fine single- or three-hole cannulas for contouring. The listings are named by hole layout so you can build that sequence.

How to Choose

Diameter. Larger diameters (4–6mm) move volume; smaller ones (1.7–3mm) refine contour and suit face, neck and fat harvest for grafting.

Length. Short cannulas (5–15cm) for face and small areas; 30–35cm for abdomen, flanks and thighs.

Connection. Luer-lock cannulas attach to a syringe for small-volume and grafting work. Handle-connection cannulas fit an aspiration handle.

Ophthalmic gauge. Higher gauge means a finer cannula: 30G is finer than 23G. Angled tips reach under the iris and across the chamber.
