A buccal photographic mirror for intraoral dental photography. It is placed in the buccal vestibule, between the cheek and the teeth, to retract the cheek and reflect the side view of the posterior teeth, including the premolars and molars, to the camera.
Buccal views are a standard part of orthodontic and restorative photo series, showing the bite relationship and the cheek-side surfaces that a straight-on photo cannot capture. Handle the reflective surface carefully and clean it as the manufacturer recommends to avoid scratches.
