The Tweed loop forming plier is an orthodontic plier used to bend loops, helices and closing loops into rectangular and round archwire. One beak is round and stepped, so loops can be formed in consistent, repeatable diameters, while the opposite beak holds the wire flat against it.
It is a standard plier for wire-bending techniques such as Tweed and edgewise mechanics, and for adding loops and stops to archwires chairside. Clean, accurate bends reduce the time spent adjusting the wire in the mouth.
