Biopsy Forceps | Flexible 3Fr-5Fr, Blakesley | DDP Elite Skip to content

Biopsy Forceps

Endoscopic biopsy forceps take tissue samples through a scope's working channel. Flexible forceps pass through a flexible endoscope's channel; rigid and semi-rigid forceps and inserts are used with laparoscopes, cystoscopes and hysteroscopes. The jaw shape — cup, cup with hole, pointed, serrated or punch — decides the sample.

This collection lists biopsy forceps, graspers and punches for Storz and AED systems in French sizes from 3Fr to 7Fr and in lengths up to 220 cm. Check each listing for the channel size and length.

  • Biopsy punches — including Semm micro biopsy punches

Single Action or Double Action?

With double-action jaws both sides open, giving a wider bite and a bigger sample. Single-action jaws have one fixed and one moving side, which gives more control and is easier to aim in a narrow space.

How to Choose

Channel. The forceps diameter must fit the scope's working channel; length must exceed the scope's working length.

Jaw. Cup jaws for general biopsy; cup with hole (fenestrated) to hold more tissue; pointed or serrated for tougher or slippery tissue.
