Cannulas & Sheaths

An arthroscopy sheath is the working channel that the arthroscope sits in. It carries irrigation fluid into the joint, and its obturator is used to enter the joint before the telescope is inserted. The sheath must match the telescope's diameter and length, and the camera system's mount.

Standard or High-Flow?

A high-flow sheath has a larger gap between the scope and the sheath wall, so more fluid reaches the joint and the view stays clear when bleeding or debris cloud it. The trade-off is a slightly larger portal.

How to Choose

Telescope. Match the sheath to the diameter and length of your arthroscope; a 4 mm scope needs a sheath made for 4 mm.

Mount. Sheaths lock onto the scope with a system-specific mount. Confirm Storz, Stryker, Linvatec or Olympus.
